Made a visit to Waddington Airshow today. Saw this very interesting hybrid on display. Branded as a Li 185 with a custom built trailer and matching paintwork.

Wagon and Horses, Branston ride-out-RYAN HIDES MEMORIAL. This event started at North Greetwell services with a ride up to the accident site where Ryan Hides lost his life.His parents and family left flowers at the location before the ride-out continued from Sudbrooke to Branston. Around 50 scooter were in attendance for this meeting including some old faces who used to own scoots!

Lincoln Knights have now dedicated this ride-out to the memory of Ryan Hides. Ryans Dream and the Union Jack white side-panel Vespa, i believe belong to Ryan's parents, scoots were spotted in Lincoln City Centre last sunday. Just added a dozen pics from the Branston ride-out to the Wagon and Horses from last year.

Motown 50th Anniversary Event at Naval Club. Great night with usual DJ's and live music from Motown Review. Busy night with plenty of decent pics taken by myself. Although Steve didn't spin any tracks on the turntables we still got to hear Stoned Love no less than three times!

Northern Soul at the Naval Club, 26th December 2008.This was a charity night in aid of Cancer Research with optional fancy dress.Great night with a few visitors from Bawtry, Paris Hilton's younger sister and a ''Blast from the past '' with a rare visit to Lincoln from the one and only Darryl Forman-thank christ he now lives in Mancheter!

Pics from Bawtry Scooter Club ''HIP and POSH'' do, 15th November. Some great sounds all evening and the event really got going later on. Only problem was the raffle with majority of the winning numbers belonging to Bawtry scooter club members! Remind me not to buy any tickets next year! Saying that, Andy, who drove me over won some two-stroke oil!(really wanted the shocker though
!).I have now merged previous years hip and posh into one collection.

Lincolnshire Scooter Alliance Meeting at the Royal Queen, Grantham 19th October 2008. This meeting was hosted by SKA Bandits with around 40 scooters in attendance from Lincoln, Horncastle, Brigg and Newark area. Four of us from Lincoln; myself, Andy, Cobby and Trev rode over to Chesters at Newark to meet with members from Newark for the ride down the A1 to Grantham. The next meeting is at Mablethorpe Village Hall-SORRY, ONLY JOKING!

Scooterist from Lincolnshire, Newark and Nottinghamshire paid tribute to Ryan Hides who tragically died riding his vespa T5 at Dunholme Road, near Lincoln on 15th September 2008. Although none of us personally knew him, Ryan's love of the Mod/scooter scene led to a request from his parents if scooter riders would like to attend his funeral? Around 40 scooters were present, meeting up at the North Greetwell services on the A158. We then rode up to Sudbrooke village awaiting the Horse-drawn carriage. Once the service had commenced, we pushed our scooters down the road so as not the scare the horses and rode onto Nettleham Village cemetery, where Ryan would finally rest. Unfortunately, I could not make it to the wake at The Lincoln Green pub as i had to go to work.Sorry if i've missed anyone off who traveled from further afield!

A group from Lincoln and Newark Collective rode up to Ionians Rugby Club for Hull and Districts Annual Rally on Saturday morning. Camping over night was on the agenda for some and a number of us just went for the day. Looked like the turnout was going to be excellent for Saturday evening gig with around 200+ scoots parked up on the camping area late afternoon. Andy (The postman)rode up on his P2 after work and gave us a demonstration on 'how not to erect a tent''. A recurring problem with my P2 -the carb slide rod keeps slipping out of the retaining hole to the throttle so i had to repair this again on the way home! (Thanks trev for waiting). Heres the pics i took.Mainly scoots as riders seem to be a little camera shy-you know who i mean!

East Midlands Scooter Alliance ride-out to Matlock, 10th August 2008.
This is the third season this event has run and it gets better each year with a number of people camping at the Hurt Arms at Ambergate Saturday evening. Ride-out commenced around 10am Sunday morning up to Matlock and on to the Rugby club. Another excellent day out with very little rain and plenty of good sunshine!

Lincolnshire Scooter Alliance ride-out to the Dambusters Inn, Scampton. Better turnout this year due to decent weather-around 66 scooter in attendance.
